Since summer 2006 he is member of the so called "Wonder of Sound", the Radio choir of the Bayerische Rundfunk. Before he was a resident artist at the Staatsoper Stuttgart since the season 1998/99. There he has sung parts such as Froh/Rheingold, Andres/Wozzeck, Truffaldino/Love for Three Oranges, Alfred/Die Fledermaus, Iro/Ulisse, Oronte/Alcina, Wenzel/The Bartered Bride, Young man/Moses and Aron, Janek/Makropulos Case, Erster Geharnischter/The Magic Flute, Pang/Turandot under the baton of conductors like Lothar Zagrosek, Silvain Cambreling, Stefan Soltesz and Alessandro de Marchi.
DVD- and CD-Productions, Recordings for Radio Stations. Besides several live recordings of opera produtions he has also done recordings for WDR, NDR, BR, HR and SWR, performing romantic oratories of Carl Loewe and Albert Lortzing, operas and operettas of Berté, Flotow, Lehár, Offenbach and Lanner. Publications by Rondeau, Capriccio, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, CPO and Teldec.
As guest singer he has appeared at the Bremen Opera (David/Meistersinger, Ernesto/Don Pasquale), at the Bayreuth Festival (KunzVogelgesang/Meistersinger, Junger Seemann/Tristan, Erster Edler/Lohengrin, 4. Knappe/Parsifal) and has also performed as guest artist on the stages of Braunschweig, Detmold, Frankfurt, Hannover and Wiesbaden.
Extensive career as concert singer with various repertoire, including the ancient performance of baroque pieces up to new music. In the last years focus on late romantic and modern pieces such as Elgar/Dream of Gerontius, Martin/In Terra Pax and Golgotha, Stravinsky/Oedipus Rex. Performances at the Philharmonics of Cologne, Berlin and Munich, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Berliner Konzerthaus, Warsaw and Cracow Philharmonics, Atheneum Bucarest and at Festivals like the Bachfest Leipzig, Wiesbadener Musikherbst, Stuttgarter Bachwoche, KölnerChorherbst, Utrecht Festival, Savoyen Festival, Luzerner Musikfestwochen and Festival de Canarias.
Studied voice at the "Kölner Musikhochschule" with Hans Sotin and passed his examinations with honours. During his studies he had first engagements at the Operastudio of the “Deutsche Oper am Rhein” Düsseldorf/Duisburg and the City Opera of Krefeld/Mönchengladbach. In 1995 he took up a contract at the “Schillertheater NRW” Wuppertal-Gelsenkirchen.
